Macro Spider

I enjoy getting close-up shots of spiders. Spiders have so much detail and features that one cannot see without some magnification. This orb-weaver spun his web on our back door frame two night in a row. After having us run into the web and through it a dozen times each night he finally gave up and took his web-weaving somewhere else!

Big Piney River

Looking out over the Big Piney River from the Devil's Elbow Bridge. This bridge crosses the river and is a part of the 1926 Route 66 section in central Missouri.

Route 66 - Devil's Elbow Bridge

This is the south entrance to the Devil's Elbow Bridge on old Route 66 in Missouri. The latest restoration of this bridge occurred just a few years ago. The Route 66 section here dates to 1926.

The Waynesville Frog

One (of many) tourist artifacts along the historic Route 66 is this frog face painted on a rock out-cropping on the side of hill just east of Waynesville, Missouri. Of course, the tourist inside me could not help but to stop and get a couple of images of this landmark!
